For Mentees
Receive expert guidance to succeed in your career development or in the next phase of your career
Are you a PhD student or postdoctoral researcher working at one of the BIST centres and eager to develop your career? Being a scientist means acquiring a variety of professional skills and overcoming challenges in your projects and in your team. Or perhaps you are considering your next career move. With so many options available to you, both within and outside of academia, choosing the right path can be overwhelming, especially when all options nowadays are competitive.
The BIST Mentoring Programme is designed to pair you up with a mentor in a senior position within academia, public policy, social engagement, education, industry, or entrepreneurship, depending on your needs and aspirations. You will benefit from your mentor’s experience in navigating their own career path, and from their support in helping you overcome challenges, identifying viable career options, or developing concrete actions to transition to your next phase. The programme will also help you expand your professional network and make valuable contacts in your field
